The Water and Wastewater Agency in Oslo (Oslovann) and buildingSMART Norway, in close cooperation with consultants, contractors, municipalities, product suppliers and software vendors, have developed a common industry standard for modelling and information in water and wastewater projects.

The consultation draft includes:

• requirements for structure and information in RIVA discipline models,

• use of open standards (IFC 4.3 and potential for both data dictionary and IDS),

• process guidance for design, construction and operation,

• and defined use cases from multidisciplinary coordination to maintenance.
